Last week Bex and I headed to Stravaigin in the West End for Yelp's launch event for their Gallery of Glasgow. Yelp events in Glasgow are organised by the lovely Briony and you always know you are in for a great night, this was no exception. The night was organised to showcase Yelp's Gallery of Glasgow and encourage Yelpers to upload photos to the site and potentially be part of the gallery.
We were treated to two different cocktails by the lovely people at Aperol, but I only had a small sip as they were pretty alcoholic! The husbands (B and Nik seemed to like them though!). Delicious nibbles were provided by Stravaigin which included Korean roast pork belly, kimchi and baby gem mini pork buns, South Indian dahl on a coconut and curry leaf blini and smoked salmon with cumin creme fraiche on a mini buttery, to name but a few! All of which were very tasty and I honestly couldn't decide whether the pork bun or dahl blini were my favourites.
We managed to grab one of the big booth tables and had a great night chatting away with fellow Yelpers. The staff even brought a few trays of nibbles to our table when they realised we'd been missing out on the food all night :)
Briony had clearly put a lot of effort into organising the night as in addition to the food and drinks, there was a mini photography masterclass running, a photo booth with lots of fun props to play with and lots of Yelp goodies around, including the cute fan as modelled by Lynsay above.

I'm not entirely sure what B and Nik are discussing here?!?
Photobooth props!

Photobooth fun - photo thanks to Ian McFarlane for Yelp
Next two photos thanks to Lynsay:
If you live in Glasgow or are planning a visit, you should definitely check out Yelp for recommendations of places to eat, drink and see... both Bex and I have added reviews of the night to our Yelp profiles and you'll see that Bex has written a good few more reviews than me!
And look, we even made the news! ;)
