We were thrilled when Gemma from Off The Wall Entertainment invited the twins to come along to her Christmas disco on Christmas Eve eve!
It gave us the perfect activity to keep them occupied and having fun while leaving us with Christmas Eve free for some snuggly home fun (the plan is to build a gingerbread house in the morning, Christmas prep for us parents and a cosy evening with our Christmas PJs and a Christmas film with hot chocolates and popcorn for all of us).
With a Christmas Jumper competition at the party, there was only one choice - our sparkly Christmas Light jumpers from Asda! I paired Priya's with her purple tutu and rainbow tights, K wore his with shiny rainbow star leggings. I wore mine with basic skinny jeans and although Nik declined to keep his Light-up Jumper, he did wear his more subtle festive sweater.
Anyway, when we arrived there was a crown making craft activity and the disco soon started as more people turned up. Despite being initially interested in the disco lights, K was in a bit of a funny mood (and constantly hungry) so wasn't interested in much but cheered up and joined in more after lunch. P, however, was straight into the crown decorating and after some initial shyness and encouragement needed to dance, she was right into the disco too, winning a prize for best dancer which only spurred her on more after she chose a snowman toy (much to Kalyan's distress, I had to explain he had to actually dance if he wanted to try to win best dancer).
Priya was soon off on her own, spinning and bouncing mostly but having the time of her life! There were party games galore before lunch and cake followed by pass the parcel (with a genius remote controlled toy gift whose lid popped open every time the music stopped for the winner to take a sweetie).
And then Santa swung by to say hello and hand out some amazing presents for everyone, K&P were delighted with their Christmas themed colouring books, P went off immediately to the craft table to start "drawring".
Then it was time for more dancing with Santa joining in before we all sang him out with Jingle Bells and the disco started up again.
The winner of best jumper was announced at the end and Kalyan won with his flashy lights (by which time he was also rocking my bauble earrings)! So really all 3 of us won since we all matched ;) and this time he got to choose a prize, he was chuffed to bits, he's so happy with his robin.
We all had a brilliant time, it was so well organised and the kids had so much fun! Thanks so much Off The Wall for organising such a great event!!
