Knockhatch Adventure Park review

We've been to Knockhatch before but it was ages ago and only in the winter, when the twins were smaller they got in free and I get 25% off with my NHS discount (bonus!) so the indoor soft play was perfect for a rainy day.  This time we went with a new friend (whom Priya is obsessed with) and discovered everything else the park has to offer.  I don't have photos of everything as I wasn't there to review it but of course, being me have quite a few snaps anyway so thought I'd share my thoughts here as we had a great day out!

There was so much more there than I thought!  I already knew about the quad ride and some of the small animals and barn animals like ponies and deer but on the other side which is shut during the winter, we found a big adventure play park with a climbing wall, a toboggan hill, climbing frames and obstacle course as well as a large boating lake next to it which the kids loved! 

We looked for ducks and spotted a couple of llamas on the bank as well as loads of fish being fed by the bridge. 

There's also an indoor Dinosaur barn with another play area but you need socks in there and it was all a bit high for our little ones.  They loved all the dinosaurs though and the ice-cream!

They also loved the train ride simulator (you're not allowed to take photos in there) so much they went on it twice, despite it being a little scary for young ones they loved it!  Our gorgeous mini friend had a little nap during the queuing here as there are only 15 seats so we had to wait a bit for our turn (twice).

The quadapillar ride also had a bit of a queue but we had fun watching the other kids riding while we waited and it was so much fun - I had to ride too of course so I could take photos!  ;)

They also loved the tractor play barn with sand and tunnels to explore, it was much quieter here so we stayed a while as they had so much fun the grown ups managed to sit and chill for a bit before it was time to say goodbye.

As we went during the summer holidays it was one of the more expensive days but with my NHS discount and my Dad being a senior citizen, the four of us got in for £33.  We spent most of the day there and although it was busy (we had to park in the overflow car park which was a little walk away) the park was big enough that it didn't seem crowded once everyone was spread out.  While there we also spotted the big pirate ship and paddling pool which we definitely need to go back for on a hot day (we weren't prepared with swimming stuff) and we enjoyed watching the big kids on the water slide at the back of the park.  I was impressed by all of the areas of the park, it was clean and well maintained with good food options (we had baked potatoes for lunch) and plenty to see and do.
