We've been to Wilderness Wood plenty of times but I thought I'd write a little update about our latest visit as we had so much fun and there was a new cake too which I'm hoping will make a regular appearance as it's my favourite ever (I don't even have a photo of it, it was wolfed down too quickly)! The cookies went down well with the kids though - they were as big as their heads!
They're really confident on the zip line now and were happy to go on their own and bring each other back!
And of course there was plenty of dirt and mess in the mud kitchen!
And some "Hide" and Seek. Not sure Priya's ever going to win at this, lol.
As always, we had a fun, adventurous day in the woods, there's plenty to keep the kids occupied and one of our favourite cafes for lunch! I had delicious creamy mushrooms on sourdough toast and the cake I mentioned was a Norwegian sour cream & apple cake with macadamia nuts - SO yummy! The kids had cheese & ham toasties before their giant cookies. You can sit inside or outside at the picnic tables and the staff are just lovely too!
You pay as you feel for entry to the woods, donations are made in the cafe (or you can become a member with added benefits too) so it's a great value day out, if you're just there for an hour, pay a little or give a big donation if you go for the whole day, to help maintain the woods.

And they're going much higher on the tyre swing too!
