What to wear to a wedding in the woods!

In a little over a weeks time Bex and I will be driving down to a beautiful part of Northern England to go to Amy's wedding!  I actually just made a weeeeeee noise when I was writing that, that's totally normal right?!  We honestly cannot wait for the big day :)

There are a number of fabulous ladies all heading along to celebrate with Amy and there has been much excited chatter via twitter and email regarding what we are all wearing.  So I thought it would be fun if I shared my potential outfits and you can let me know your thoughts on what would look best.

Option 1

A dark blue satin, strapless dress with big skirt. I love this dress for dancing in!  I also love wearing bright accessories and nail varnish with this to give the look some bright pops of colour :)

The leopard print shoes are the ones I usually wear with the dress, I love the bright pink heel and usually wear matching nail polish.  These shoes were £14 in Barratts!  Oh how I miss Glasgow having a Barratts.  My other choice for shoes are my pink velvet Vivenne Westwood ones, although they are very high and I could end up with sore feet.

Option 2

This purple dress is knee length and quite floaty.  It's great to wear if I know I'm eating a big meal, but sometimes I worry that it's a bit sack like.  Never a good though to cross your mind whilst you are wearing a dress!

As a change from above, I would usually go with more classic accessories with this dress.

Option 3

Multi coloured maxi! The print on this dress is a bit crazy but I love it. It's from Long Tall Sally so I can even wear big heels with it.  I wish I had a full length photo of me in it to show you the dress properly, but all the full length ones are of me cutting shapes on the dance floor after a few drinks, so the dress (and me!) are not quite looking, erm, normal.

This is me and my beautiful friend Ruthie

I've only ever worn it once, to a friends wedding last year and went to town with bright coloured accessories shown below and the yellow hair flower above.  I've included two pictures of the wedges just so you can all appreciate the height of the heel.

So peeps, which outfit do you think I should wear??  I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

I like the purple one, not at all sack like. Don't think velvet shoes are a good idea for wedding in the woods!

I can comment! Love the purple (not sack like as nicely fitted on the top) - agree with laurenmaria that velvet shoes are not so great for a wedding in the woods! The flocking on those VW shoes would get ruined - and the heel could sink. So I would recommend wedges not heels and the purple or maybe the maxi?

Option 1 is my favourite. But maybe for a wedding in the woods option 3 would be best, it is also very lovely. xoxo

I should have mentioned that I've got wellies too, with stars on them! That I was going to wear to get to the wedding through the woods :)

Oooh I vote for the maxi! It's gorgeous and very 'wedding in the woods' :-)

I vote 3 (mainly because of the wedges but also like the multicolouredness)

THOSE WEDGES. I frankly don't care what you wear with them, just as long as you wear those epic, amazing wedges.

Okay that's not true, I do care. I think I vote maxi, but then maybe that's because I'm also thinking of wearing a printed maxi with wedges. Twinsies?

Number 3 is also my favorite, patterns and colors will make you stand out :)
If you want a more "classic" look, then go for the purple one (it's not sack like )

Oh and I wanted to say your hair is so silky and long and beautiful (as a child I always said I wanted long, dark, straight hair... just like yours)

I'm voting option 3 too. I love the print on that maxi and the wedges are a amazing!

Thank you :)

I think you might be the more glamorous twinsie! The wedges are fab, even if I do say so myself. And I managed to wear them for 14 hours!

The maxi is getting a lot of love :)
