My Sunday Photo - Flamingo Fun

Before Priya got poorly this weekend, we had a fun 6 minute photo session in the kitchen while Daddy and Kalyan had gone to pick up a prescription, before we went out for dinner.  She was wearing her gorgeous new flamingo dress from Sainsbury's Tu Clothing range (£18) and the light hit our window just right to make some magical sun flares.

I found it hard to pick a favourite so here are my top five (which keep changing) but you can see all 12 favourites over on bexphoto if you'd like to see more.

Easter 2018 - egg painting, hunting and eating!

We had a lot of fun this Easter.  What with all our egg painting, egg hunting and plenty of yummy food and of course chocolate, we had an amazing long weekend!

Photographers' day out in Brighton

I had a great day out in Brighton recently with some fellow family photographers.  (I say great as I was really glad I went and parts of it were lovely and I really enjoyed meeting some new photographer friends but parts were also super stressful and I struggled not to get upset about the kids' behaviour at times.)  One of the best bits were the photos we all took on the most awesome graffiti street Laura took us to!  The lovely Veronika, Abigail and Sam have shared some of their photos too, here are all of my favourites from the day out (each one is attributed to each photographer, including myself!) and you can see a few more of mine over on bexphoto if you're interested.

World Book Day and other cute twin stuff

It was our first proper World Book Day this year with the twins being in pre-school.  We chose Zog for their dress-up inspiration with Priya going as Princess Pearl and Kalyan as Madame Dragon (since his dragon suit is green and not orange).

Mother's Day Brunch at Wilderness Woods - review

Last year for Mother's Day Nik booked the special Mother's Day Brunch deal at Wilderness Woods.  It was so good, we decided to do the same thing this year and I've only just realised I never actually got around to blogging about it last year so I might share a couple of nostalgic photos from that visit at the bottom too.

Easter Egg Painting - toddler crafts

I admit I was a bit nervous about how this activity might turn out, especially with ceramic eggs, but we actually had fun with this and both twins were fairly patient with it and were happy to watch me finish off their eggs once they were done painting.

Constantinople Cafe - Lunch review

After we gave up on the Big Cheese Festival at Hove Lawns, we did a quick search for somewhere to have lunch.  Luckily it was a short walk up a hill to reach some local shops and cafes and we soon discovered Constantinople which looked cosy and inviting.  We're so glad we found it as we had an amazing lunch which really saved our day out.

Unfortunately cheese festivals in Brighton have largely been a miss with one thing or another making it a disappointing day out for ticket holders.  We heard bad things about Cheese Fest last year but The Big Cheese Festival had assured everyone their event would be different and we were invited along to review it last month.
