We went to Durham to visit Nik's parents this weekend and the day before we left I received an unexpected (as he rarely uses his mobile phone) text from my Father-in-law. He asked me to bring with me any dragonfly stickers I had for a secret project. Needless to say, I was very intrigued! He had seen me use a car sticker I ordered on ebay to personalise our car...
As it happens they came in a pack of 40 so I had plenty left! On Saturday morning before heading to Alnwick Garden (more on that soon, I had a fab time taking photos of bees!) he asked for the stickers and lead us all out to the garden. He had recently bought a new bike (a twenty-niner apparently!) which happened to be silver and grey with olive green accents so he thought he would go the whole hog and personalise it with some green dragonflies like our wedding theme! How lovely! He let me do the honours and adorn his bike with two of the stickers...

This post made me smile so much, not even so much about the decals but about that kind of relationship you have with your father in law where you shared this little bit of fun. Lovely!
Thanks Vonnie, yes I am very lucky to have lovely in-laws who are such great fun too! :)
Oh this is lovely - your FIL sounds very cool and I love that you have this relationship with them x
