Honeymoon Pt 14 - Safari - Ngorongoro Farm House

After a bit of a drive we arrived at our next Lodge - Ngorongoro Farm House.

We had the most amazing room - it was our own little bungalow with another 4 poster bed (learning by now that these are pretty standard due to the requirement of mosquito nets but I still find them romantic!) and a fireplace in the corner.

Our room - The Kanga Room (Guinea Fowl)

HUGE room!
Lovely Terrace looking over the fields
Kangas outside our room

After settling in our room, we went to explore the rest of the Farm...

Main Building with raised deck - we later watched sunset here with some cocktails

Extreme Sunshine!
It is a working farm with a coffee plantation...

Later on we made our way out for some drinks on the deck before dinner and found ourselves dragged up by the entertainment (mortifying!) and made to dance along...

Lighting the big fire on the deck

Dinner was delicious with lots of options including roast lamb, yum!  We also enjoyed a bottle of wine but it wasn't as nice as the ones we had at Ras Nungwi.  During dinner we requested the optional lighting of the fire in our room for an extra $5.  TOTALLY worth it!  It was lovely and made our room so cosy and was still warm in the morning despite the cold outside.

Nik set up the tripod to take a picture
while I tried to edit down some of the safari pics on the iPad!
The next morning we got up to a lovely dawn across the back and were escorted up to our car ready to head into the crater!
